St Michael’s pupils achieve excellent GCSE results

ST MICHAEL’S SCHOOL, Llanelli, have said that they are extremely pleased to see another year of excellent GCSE results. Pupils have worked extremely hard throughout the past two years and this is reflected in the fact that 97.4% of all grades achieved, were A-C. A further 88.7% of grades were A-B and 69.6% of grades were A*-A.

100% of their pupils achieved at least five or more A-C grades and over 90% of all grades achieved in Maths and Sciences were A-B. Over 90% of all grades in Modern Languages were A-B and 100% of all grades achieved in History and Geography were A-C. The vast majority of pupils will continue on to study A-Levels, at their Sixth Form.

Headmaster, Mr Benson Ferrari said “These excellent GCSE results show just how hard our pupils have worked and the dedication that they have given to their studies.  From lessons in school to homework, to coursework and assessments, it’s that daily and ongoing motivation which translates into top grades.  This year’s Year 11 class have laid a very strong foundation from which to tackle their A-Levels and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for Sixth Form”.

The school’s GCSE results follow on from their best ever A-Level results, which were released last week.
