IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea general entries opened today with the race set to return on Sunday  13th July 2025 

AFTER another successful sold-out year in 2024, IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea returns next year on Sunday 13th July 2025. As of today, general entries are now open with a high number of entries expected to come in. 

IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea has also been renewed for a further three years, which means the race will head to the Southern Welsh coast until at least 2027. 

Swansea Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “It’ll be great to welcome IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea once again. Swansea and Gower residents turn out in great numbers to enjoy this fantastic award-winning event which attracts thousands of athletes and spectators and significantly boosts the local economy.

“The council is a key supporter of the event and we look forward once again to showcasing our fabulous natural beauty and Swansea’s brilliant hospitality sector. The event, along with all the others that the city hosts each year, will inspire even more people to compete in sport –  competitive or recreational – and to enjoy our fabulous local area and facilities.”  

IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea Race Director Rebecca Sutherland added: “We are very excited that IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea 2025 entries open today, with thousands once again expected to descend on the Welsh coast next year.

“It’s a race location we love coming back to, as the local support in Wales is like nowhere else. It’s also fantastic that we will be returning until at least 2027 to keep bringing athletes such a special event, year after year.”
