Latest recruit to Swansea’s Ashmole & Co team is a familiar face to the firm

ASHMOLE & Co’s latest recruit in the Swansea office is a familiar face to the team. The firm is delighted to announce that Simon Webster has recently started working for the successful accountancy team in Swansea but he first joined Ashmole & Co in August 2000 in the Haverfordwest office.

Simon, who now lives in Porthcawl, is originally from Tenby, where his immediate family still live. He still regards himself as a west Walian and that’s how he worked for Ashmole & Co’s Haverfordwest team for eleven years before moving to Porthcawl.

Before rejoining Ashmole & Co as a Senior Accounts Clerk, Simon worked for the Jehu Group Ltd and had temporary contracts in financial positions at Bridgend County Council and South Wales Police HQ.

Day to day with Ashmole & Co, Simon completes accounting records for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. He also works on the taxation records for clients.

Welcoming Simon to the Swansea team, Christine Daultrey, Partner in the Swansea Ashmole & Co office, said: “We are delighted that Simon has joined our team in Swansea and re-joined our wider team at Ashmole & Co. It’s great to have a new starter that already knows all the systems we have in place. He was certainly able to hit the ground running when he started.”

Simon said: “It’s great to be back working in the familiar surroundings of Ashmole & Co but with the exciting prospect of being able to help and work with new clients in the Swansea area. It doesn’t matter where you’re based really as the work load intensifies in December and January due to the Personal Tax return deadline no matter where you are!”

Simon spends his spare time taking relaxing long walks along the coast. He has two children. His daughter is studying a Masters degree in Fashion and his son is studying Forensics. Simon and his son are season ticket holders at Parc y Scarlets so they enjoy watching all of the Scarlets’ home games and when his daughter is home from university they enjoy going to live music gigs together.
