Police pursuit ends in crash after alleged drug dealers fail to stop

TWO men are in custody following a police pursuit which ended in a crash in Swansea.

On Monday, May 15, officers from South Wales Police tried to stop a VW Polo on Gorse Lane, Brynhill on suspicion of supplying Call A drugs.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly failed to stop which activated a police pursuit, which ended when the VW crashed on Kings Road.

Two men have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and remain in police custody.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “South Wales Police can confirm that two men have been arrested following a crash on Kings Road following a police pursuit.

“The pursuit was authorised after the driver of a VW Polo failed to stop for officers on Gorse Lane, Brynmill around 4.50pm yesterday afternoon, Monday, May 15. The driver of the VW Polo subsequently crashed on Kings Road.

“The two men aged 19 and 20, from Swansea, have been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and are currently in police custody.”
