SUN BABY BANK is hosting a special fundraiser this Christmas to support families in need. Elysium Gallery in Swansea has long been a community hub, opening its doors on the last Friday of each month to distribute essential items to local families. This holiday season, however, the initiative is expanding its efforts to ensure that no one is left without a festive meal.
With the recent halt of free school meal payments during school holidays, many families are finding it harder to make ends meet. To help ease this burden, The Sun Baby Bank has launched the Christmas Dinner Bags campaign. These bags will include everything needed for a full three-course Christmas dinner, complete with all the traditional trimmings. The aim is to give families the opportunity to come together and enjoy a special holiday meal, even during tough times.
The campaign kicks off with a fundraising gig at Elysium Gallery on Saturday (30 November), featuring live performances by Swanhill, Daisy, and Guy Nicholas Challenger. The event promises to be a fantastic night of music and community spirit. Doors open at 7 pm, and every ticket purchased directly contributes to the creation of the Christmas Dinner Bags, as well as supporting the ongoing work of The Sun Baby Bank. The target is to raise £800, with £185 already collected.
Donations are vital in ensuring that more families receive the support they need. Every contribution, large or small, will go directly towards purchasing food and essential items for those in need.
