HOLLY ROSE THOMAS, 17, from Llansamlet, Swansea, is a finalist in the Miss Wales 2025 competition. Holly, known for her Irish dance and art, has competed in championships since the age of six. A trainee hairdresser and painter, she finds art therapeutic for managing her anxiety. A fluent Welsh speaker, she is dedicated to promoting the language.
This is Holly’s first pageant, but her modeling background has prepared her for the challenge. She is sponsored by Monolithic Bricklaying and is eager to use her platform to support the Miss World charity, Beauty With A Purpose.
“I’m excited for the final and the journey ahead,” Holly said. “Fundraising and spreading the message of confidence among young women are my main goals.”
The Miss Wales final in May features events including an empowerment day, a charity ball, and a catwalk finale at the Holland House Hotel in Cardiff and The Riverfront in Newport. Contestants will fundraise for Beauty With A Purpose and A-Sisterhood, participate in kindness initiatives on St David’s Day, and mark International Women’s Day.
Paula Abbandonato, Miss Wales organiser, said: “Miss Wales is about empowering young women and raising funds for good causes through the pageantry experience.”
The winner will represent Wales at Miss World, joining events and initiatives throughout the year, including a trip to India to support the Sheroes of Stop Acid Attacks.
