UNIVERSITY of Wales Trinity Saint David’s (UWTSD) Winter graduation ceremony has taken place at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall yesterday (November 26).
The ceremony provides an opportunity to celebrate students’ success and commitment, and to enable the University community to acknowledge their achievements.
Professor Elwen Evans, KC, Vice-Chancellor of UWTSD, expressed the significance of the occasion In her address to the graduates.
She said: “Congratulations to all of our graduates. The qualifications that you have all achieved are recognised internationally and are your passport to the world – a world that needs your skills, your energy, your creativity, your compassion, and your leadership.
“Your education has been more than a preparation for a career; it is a foundation for lifelong learning and a commitment to making a difference.
“Universities and Colleges are, after all, about people – their skills and abilities – which come together in this special environment to make a difference. You have the potential to use all that you have learned to make a positive impact on the future well-being of our society and to the lives of others.
“You can be very proud of your achievements today. You have shown that you have the determination, the commitment, and the resilience to succeed.”
