Woman and child taken to hospital after bus collision in Swansea City Centre

A WOMAN and child were taken to hospital on Sunday evening (Nov 17) after being struck by a bus on the A4067 in Swansea city centre. The incident occurred near the Swansea Waterfront Winterland site, just after 6:30pm.

Emergency services, including multiple police officers and paramedics, cordoned off the area as they responded to the scene. Images showed a significant emergency response and damage to the front end of the bus, including its windscreen.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at just after 6:30pm today (Sunday, November 17) to a woman and a child having been hit by a bus on Oystermouth Road, just outside the Winter Wonderland in Swansea. The woman and child have been taken to hospital to assess their injuries, but they are not thought to be life-threatening. The road has now re-opened.”

The collision caused temporary disruption to traffic as the A4067 was taped off for investigations and clean-up operations. The area has since returned to normal.
