EQUAL EDUCATION Partners, a leading education firm headquartered in Swansea has officially launched EQL Edtech, a specialist recruitment division dedicated to supporting fast-growing education technology startups and scale-ups worldwide.
The announcement was made during the recent ASU+GSV Summit 2025, the world’s largest Edtech conference, in San Diego, California. The event brings together global leaders from education, technology, policy, investment, and philanthropy to explore the future of learning and innovation.
With more than 15 years of experience in education recruitment and a strong track record supporting clients in the edtech sector, Equal Education Partners is now building on its success by creating a dedicated brand focused exclusively on the edtech sector by providing tailored recruitment solutions to ambitious edtech companies across North America, Asia, Europe, and beyond, including online schools, alternative education providers, and mission-driven school networks.
As part of its international growth strategy, Equal also announced plans to open its first US headquarters in Austin, Texas in June 2025, establishing a local presence in one of the fastest growing edtech and innovation hubs in the United States.
Llanelli born Liam Rahman, Founder of Equal Education Partners, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch EQL Edtech. Having spent time immersed in the Silicon Valley edtech ecosystem at Stanford, I’ve seen first-hand the scale of opportunity and the transformative impact that education technology can have on learners globally.

“ASU+GSV is the perfect platform for this launch. It brings together the world’s most forward-thinking education innovators, and it reflects the energy, ambition and collaboration at the heart of EQL Edtech.
“Keeping a strong presence in Wales will always be core to our approach at Equal and we are also thrilled to be opening our US base in Austin later this year, which marks an exciting new chapter for the business.”
EQL Edtech represents Equal’s long-standing commitment to delivering exceptional recruitment solutions in a dynamic and rapidly evolving sector. By focusing on people-first hiring and working in close partnership with edtech leaders, the new brand aims to accelerate innovation, improve learner outcomes, and unlock new opportunities for talent across the globe.
