AN ENGINEERING, environmental, and planning consultancy has hit a major milestone in its commitment to driving industry standards worldwide.
Caulmert has been internationally recognised for its pledge to digital transformation and Building Information Modeling (BIM) after obtaining ISO 19650-2:2018 prepared certification.
This documentation cements the company’s position as a leader in the sector through an approach that reduces errors whilst improving cost, value, and carbon performance.
With offices in St Asaph, Bangor, Altrincham, Nottingham, Sheffield, and Kent, Caulmert is supporting better decision making from the start to finish of projects and showcasing a commitment to increased digital efficiency.
The company is also eager to utilise the accreditation to deliver another service offering – the management of BIM-related activity – which further strengthens its appeal to clients.
Caulmert’s BIM manager Tim Williams, who was a driving force behind the prepared certification, said: “It’s fantastic news to have received the official documentation, and helps put the consultancy at the forefront of standards.
“We have operated to BIM level two for years on local and national schemes, but this is a new way of working with fresh processes that consider the whole life cycle of a project.

“For example, if it was a housing development, the latest certification covers everything from inception to the point where people are living in them, ensuring efficient management and delivery of high-quality projects via collaborative digital designs, reducing errors, and minimising waste.”
The accreditation also provides access to different markets for Caulmert as it bids to double turnover to more than £8m in the next five years.
Associate director Elliott Davies said: “This will be a benefit both internally and externally, and we are certain that whilst we work to BIM ISO 19650, other companies and organisations will lean on our expertise.
“We have the skillset and capability to help with the management of the BIM side of projects and coordinate everything for our clients, which will help ease the strain on them and make the process smoother for them during an intense period.”
Founded in 2008, Caulmert is on track to meet an ambitious growth and development plan.
Its expertise in a variety of engineering, environmental, planning, and project management disciplines is supported by its use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to ISO 19650 standard on many of its projects.
