MINOR changes to a council deputy leader’s home extension have been approved by councillors.
Councillor Richard Clark was given permission for an extension with a new bathroom and walk-in wardrobe to his home in in Danygraig in Croesyceiliog where houses can sell for more than £300,000 in September last year.

The Labour councillor for the Cwmbran ward asked the council for permission to make changes to the approved plans including moving a first floor window by 600 millimetres and altering some windows and doors on the ground floor.
The changes were approved at the council’s May planning meeting and had to be reported to the committee as the application was made by an elected councillor.
The committee also approved plans to create a terrace area from first floor dining room over an existing outbuilding at a home in Stoney Road, Garndiffaith, Pontypool. The terrace will have a privacy screen following an objection from a neighbour concerned about overlooking.
The application was reported to the committee as applicant Scott Morgan lives with a member of the council’s staff.
