Hotel awarded coveted rosettes

coveted rosettesTHE Grove Hotel in Narberth has been awarded three AA rosettes.

The luxury hotel has become one of just four Welsh restaurants to be awarded the much coveted three AA rosettes.

As the only new restaurant in Wales to achieve this standard, The Grove also joins the list of just 10% of all restaurants and hotels mentioned in the AA Restaurant Guide to have been awarded three rosettes or higher.

Restaurants that achieve three AA rosettes are described by the AA as having achieved standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area. Cooking at these establishments is underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients.

Whilst Head Chef Duncan Barham’s food continues to evolve, service at The Grove Hotel has been lifted dramatically in 2013. In August, Restaurant Manager Bruno Asselin joined the team from The Latymer at Pennyhill Park which has two Michelin Stars, and Head Sommelier Michal Dumny joined from Lucknam Park. A new pastry chef is also soon to join the team from Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck in Berkshire.

Neil Kedward, owner of The Grove Hotel, said, “We’re delighted to have been awarded three AA rosettes. The Head Chef his dedicated kitchen team and front of house have worked so very hard over many years to achieve and maintain this standard and we are absolutely delighted for them all. We now look forward to 2014, with a wonderful team that we feel is capable of striving for a fourth AA rosette for Wales.”
