A WOMAN was taken to hospital on Sunday morning (Aug 19) after she lost control of her car and crashed through a hedge on an unclassified road in west Carmarthenshire.
Police officers and the ambulance service were called to the scene of the accident between Llangynin and Blaenwaun at around 10am.
The 21-year-old driver had apparently lost control negotiating a corner in her Vauxhall Corsa and hit a bank before rolling through a hedge into a field.
She was the only occupant of the vehicle and was checked over by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision between Blaenwaun and Llangynin shortly before 10am on Sunday.
“A blue Vauxhall Corsa had overturned onto its roof. Ambulance also attended and a woman was taken to hospital. Police left the scene at around 11am.”
