Over 3,000 saplings are to be planted Acton Park and Spider Park as part of Wales Climate Week.
This year’s theme focuses on climate choices and the important contribution that the general public can make in helping to tackle climate change.
Members of the public are being invited to play their part and help with the planting, with sessions taking place between 10-12pm and 1-3pm on Sunday 20 November.
Wrexham Council will be planting on the Herbert Jennings side of Acton Park, so make your way over to the play area on Acton Park, pick up a spade and get stuck in.
Over 3000 saplings will be planted across the two sites, funded by Trees for Cities.
The scheme will help connect existing areas of trees on the Park to build a wildlife corridor between habitats and support our carbon sequestration efforts.
This work also supports the council’s Tree and Woodland strategy and commitment to increase canopy cover throughout the county.
A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: “We’re are keen to gain public support for trees and woodlands in Wrexham and have created the Wrexham Woodland Pledge as a way to get the general public involved.
