MERLINS BRIDGE moved to the top of the Division 1 table on Saturday (Nov 19) as they beat St Ishmaels 6-1.
Tish made things difficult for the home who only opened the scoring on the stroke of half time with Sam Christopher getting the goal.
Joe Leahy doubled the Wizards’ lead in the 60th minute but Tish hit back and Owen Lawrie’s goal in the 69th minute gave them hope of getting something from the game.
However, Leahy added another goal in the 80th minute to restore their two-goal cushion.
Sam Christopher then scored twice in the final ten minutes to complete his hat trick. Leahy then joined him as he scored his third goal in time added on.
The win for Merlins Bridge is their seventh of the season and sets up a top-of-the-table clash with second placed Goodwick United on Saturday, November 26.
Tish are not in action next weekend due to Hakin’s involvement in the West Wales Cup.
