Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault on Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth, on Wednesday 15th October.
At approximately 3:00am, a man was assaulted and suffered facial injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 20 years old, approximately 5 foot 11, with short brown hair. He is described as having a stocky build and wearing all black clothing.
