This is the heart-breaking picture showing the reality of what the parents of Mabli Hall had to see in her final days. Rob and Gwen Hall spent every last precious second with their daughter after she was fatally hurt in a collision with a car outside Withybush Hospital.

In the heart-wrenching incident that has left a family shattered, Mabli Hall, an eight-month-old baby girl, tragically lost her life after being struck by a car. The devastating accident occurred on Wednesday, June 21, and Mabli fought for her life for four days before succumbing to her injuries on Sunday, June 25. She was described as “the apple of her family’s eye,” and her untimely passing has left her parents, Rob and Gwen Hall, and their five children in profound grief.

The emotional toll on the grieving family is immense, as they had to say their final goodbyes to Mabli during her funeral in Neath on July 4. Friends and loved ones, dressed in purple, gathered to pay their last respects and offer support during this harrowing time.

Sinead Morris and her partner Morgan, who are among the family’s closest friends, have been actively supporting Rob and Gwen. To aid the family during this “horrific time,” they set up a GoFundMe page, which has seen an overwhelming response from people across Wales, including generous donations from renowned sports personalities. Sinead expressed the depths of her concern, saying, “We have seen the vulnerability of them both during this ordeal and still have no idea how much pain they feel.”

Mabli’s time at the hospital was filled with love and care, and her five siblings and nurses at Bristol Children’s Hospital ensured that she was surrounded by affectionate mementos and decorations. Despite the heartbreaking circumstances, the family remains grateful for the support they received at the hospital.

As the family attempts to come to terms with life without Mabli, they are also grappling with the financial burden caused by the accident. Rob, who is self-employed, suffered injuries in the collision, leaving him unable to work at present. Gwen, currently on maternity leave, is also facing the daunting reality of rebuilding their lives without their beloved daughter.

In the midst of their pain and bereavement, the family is deeply touched by the outpouring of support from near and far. Welsh Rugby’s Taulupe Faletau and darts superstar Gerwyn Price were among the notable figures who generously contributed to the fundraising efforts.

The circumstances surrounding the tragic collision are still under investigation by the authorities. Sinead emphasised that the family is grappling with immense uncertainty as they seek answers while dealing with the unimaginable grief and trauma they have endured.

The loss of their “precious eight-month-old baby girl” has left a void that can never be filled, and the road to healing and rebuilding their lives will undoubtedly be arduous for Rob and Gwen Hall. The support from their community and beyond, however, provides a glimmer of hope during this darkest chapter of their lives.
