Prestigious global award names Narberth hotel as the Luxury Hotel of the Year

The Grove of Narberth has added another prestigious award to its impressive collection by winning the Hotel of the Year accolade for 2023 from the Small Luxury Hotels of the World Awards.

This marks the first international award for the venue situated in Pembrokeshire.

Judges were highly impressed by the Grove’s exceptional customer feedback and engagement, with the award’s inspector report scoring an impressive 98.8%. Winners at the SLH awards, hosted recently in Marbella, undergo assessment based on their annual mystery inspector’s report score, feedback from customers across various platforms, and dedication to hotel sustainability.

The Grove’s sincere commitment to sustainability was recognised and applauded by the judging panel.

The Small Luxury Hotels group, made up of independently-minded travellers and independently-spirited hotels across the world, judged that the Narberth hotel “exemplifies everything that is great about independent hotels,” and was “an inspiration”.

As the overall winner from the SLH hotel portfolio, Grove of Narberth was also awarded £2,000 to plant trees with Tree Nation, to start their own forest.

Founder and Chief Executive of the Seren Collection, of which Grove is part of, Neil Kedward, said: “Everybody plays a part in our ongoing success across Seren in so many ways, but Grove is where it all started. Our warmest congratulations to Grove of Narberth hotel manager, Karen Weisheit, and her entire team. I know they’re over the moon to have been acknowledged by one of the leading international hotel consortia – for sure it’s one of our proudest and most humbling moments in our 15 years of operating.”
