A CAR on fire has caused significant delays on the M4 towards Wales on Sunday afternoon (Jul 14). Traffic was stopped and lanes subsequently closed as crews dealt with the fire which broke out westbound between J18 (M32, Bristol) and J20 (M5).
The incident was cleared by about 3pm but National Highways says there are residual 45-minute delays and four miles of congestion. This is expected to ease throughout the afternoon.
