Hit-and-run incident Leaves two women seriously injured; suspect charged with attempted murder

A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a horrifying hit-and-run accident in Harris Avenue, Rumney, Cardiff. The incident, which occurred at approximately 01:50 GMT on Thursday, left two women seriously injured, prompting an immediate response from the South Wales Police.

The victims, identified as a 45-year-old woman from Trowbridge and a 35-year-old woman from St Mellons, were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. According to the latest update from the police, both women are now in a stable condition, but the incident has left the neighbourhood deeply concerned for their well-being.

South Wales Police swiftly launched an investigation into the incident, leading to the arrest of the 34-year-old man, who resides in the Rumney area. The suspect was brought before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Friday, where he faced charges of attempted murder. The court remanded him into custody, pending further legal proceedings.
