Time running out to register to vote in local government elections

TIME is quickly running out to register to vote in the Local Government Elections in May.

The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Thursday 14th April.

You can apply online at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote – it takes just five minutes.

Registration statistics in Pembrokeshire are at an all-time high, with more than 97,000 people registered to vote.

This includes 1,500 16/17 year olds who will vote in these elections for the first time.

On Thursday 5th May voters will have their say on who represents them at a local level.

Voters will be electing Pembrokeshire County Councillors and Town and Community Councillors.

Residents who are 16 or over and legally resident in Wales can vote in the election, provided they are registered to do so.

You can see the lists of candidates, uncontested seats and more election information at: https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/elections-and-voting
