DOMINO’S Pizza has teamed up with Gravity Industries, the renowned jet suit company, to introduce a new method of pizza delivery – by jet pack. This extraordinary venture coincides with the highly anticipated Glastonbury Festival, where music legend Elton John is set to captivate audiences at the Pyramid Stage on Sunday.
Spectators in Somerset were left astonished as they witnessed a Domino’s delivery driver-turned-pilot take flight from the nearby Glastonbury store. Soaring over picturesque hedge-lined fields, this high-flying pioneer skillfully handed over delicious pizzas to enthusiastic campers.
Among those lucky enough to witness this incredible spectacle was Natalie Dixon, a festival-goer on her way to the renowned Glastonbury Festival. She exclaimed, “Seeing a jet suit thing fly over Glasto was wild. I’ve never seen a jet suit, let alone one delivering pizzas. I can’t wait to see one land on my doorstep in the future.”
Sam Wilson, representing Domino’s, shared the inspiration behind this audacious project, saying, “When we realized it would be impossible to serve pizza slices inside the festival, we drew inspiration from this year’s headliner to launch our own rapid delivery trial – it was a bit of a no brainer. Every year, we receive numerous random requests from festival-goers attempting to sneak pizza into the party. Therefore, this year, we aimed to take a gigantic leap forward and test our very own rocket man service, ensuring that hungry campers can experience sky-high satisfaction in the future.”
Regarding the possibility of expanding this new delivery service nationwide, the Domino’s spokesperson cryptically added, “All we can say at this stage is that the idea has legs…or wings…or jets.”
The public’s first glimpse of the “Domino’s jet suit-delivered pizza” emerged on Tuesday when witnesses observed the pilot hovering near the Glastonbury store, donning the iconic Domino’s delivery suit, helmet, and a customized jetpack. Equipped with a specially designed delivery box affixed to the suit, the delivery pilot carefully placed two pizzas inside before securing his hands into the jet-engine-powered arm mounts. With a powerful burst, he took off and gracefully soared above the Glastonbury fields, mesmerizing onlookers.
These remarkable jet suits, valued at hundreds of thousands of pounds, were tailored to meet Domino’s requirements, ensuring that the pizzas arrive with their characteristic piping hot freshness. A representative from Gravity Industries commented on this unconventional use of their technology, stating, “Using the jet suit to keep the pizza piping hot is undoubtedly an unusual application of our tech, and pizza delivery isn’t a typical part of our flight plan. However, surpassing the average delivery time by flying through the Somerset fields and providing campers with pizzas from the experts in delivery service truly demonstrates the future of fast delivery.”
This innovative collaboration between Domino’s Pizza and Gravity Industries has certainly left festival-goers at Glastonbury in awe. As the world eagerly watches this unprecedented trial, the sky may no longer be the limit for delivering the beloved cheesy goodness to pizza enthusiasts everywhere.
