CRYMYCH’s Ioan Croft is through to the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games after winning his quarter final on Thursday (Aug 4).
He beat Luwis Zakeyu Mbewe of Malawi with a second round stoppage after an excellent display.
Judges scored the first round in favour of Croft after he knocked his opponent to the mat, the referee initiating a standing 10-count.
Croft continued his onslaught in the second round and another ten-count on Mbewe was initiated.
The referee had seen enough and ended the contest early.
Croft’s semi-final is scheduled for Saturday, August 6.
