Milford edge past Carmarthen

MILFORD HAVEN earned their third win of the League 2 West season on Saturday (Mar 26) as they sealed a narrow 12-10 win over Carmarthen Athletic.

Both sides suffered defeat in their previous fixtures and were looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Tom Gravell scored a penalty for Carmarthen but a try from Milford’s Jamie Lewis gave them the lead and James Williams added the extras.

In the second half Williams scored Milford’s second try but the conversion was missed, meaning the home side had a 12-3 lead.

The Athletic hit back with Logan Davies scoring a try and Gravell added the extras to make it 12-10.

Despite the best efforts of both sides there was no more scoring as Milford held on for the win while the Athletic had to settle for a losing bonus point.
