Reid earns point for Herbie

HERBRANDSTON’s Scott Reid scored his thirteenth goal of the season on Saturday (Mar 23) as he earned a point for his side against Milford United.

Milford started the game well and bossed the opening quarter before deservedly taking the lead.

Some great build up play from Jason Hicks and Lewys Tee set up Garin Gardner to score the opening goal of the game.

However, the home side then switched off, allowing Herbie back into the game and Scott Reid took advantage to level the game at 1-1.

In the second half, Milford controlled the game but were unable to find a breakthrough.

Herbie also battled well to try and find a winner but the game finished all square leaving both sides to reflect on what might have been.

Herbie now have five games remaining and sit thirteen points behind third from bottom Saundersfoot. They are next in action on Monday, April 1, when they travel to Hakin United.

The point for Milford means they are now four points behind Saundersfoot and their next game, also on April 1, sees them travel to Pennar Robins.
