BLUESTONE are presenting their plans for transforming Blackpool Mill to the public this week in a series of events.

The company want to turn the mill into a Victorian-themed attraction in a £2.5m project.

The plans, which were submitted last year, are now available as part of a public consultation.

Bluestone say that the project would provide £1.6m for the local economy every year, as well as create 60 jobs.

The events take place on:

  • Wednesday 25 – Picton Centre, Haverfordwest
  • Thursday 26 – Torch Theatre, Milford Haven
  • Friday 27 – Town Hall, Pembroke
  • Saturday 28 – Queens Hall, Narberth

The public are welcome to attend between 10am and 2pm on each day.

If the plans are approved the company is hopeful the mill can be opened in the autumn.

William McNamara, Bluestone’s Chief Executive, said: “We hope residents and traders will share our vision to bring this historic landmark back to its former glory.”

Included in the plans is a Victorian tearoom, crafts workshop, events barn and milling experience.
