Body found in sea could be missing woman Uma Kulkarni

THE BODY of a woman recovered from the sea off the St Anne’s Head coast believed to be that of missing woman Uma Kulkarni, who went missing near the Severn Bridge.

The 42-year-old was first reported missing on April 3 from her home in Herefordshire, with Avon and Somerset Constabulary believing she came to the Bristol and North Somerset area.

Police have informed Ms Kulkarni’s family, after a woman’s body was found in the water on April 24.

According to news website BristolLive, Ms Kulkarni was thought to have travelled into the Avon and Somerset force area as her car – a bronze coloured Toyota Auris – was found near Aust Services, close to the Severn Bridge crossing.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police told The Herald: ““The body of a woman was recovered from the water off St Anne’s Head in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, on Wednesday 24 April.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place but due to items recovered we have made the family of missing 42-year-old woman Uma Kulkarni aware of this discovery. We are keeping them fully updated.

“No further details will be released at this stage.”
