Coronavirus concerns cancel firework display

WITH Coronavirus still a concern, Milford Haven Round Table have taken the difficult decision to cancel their annual Bonfire Night celebrations.

In a statement released by their Facebook page yesterday (Thursday, October 8), they said: “After continuously reviewing Government guidelines and restriction on mass gatherings, it is with great sadness that unfortunately we have had to cancel our annual fireworks event planned for November 5th.

“The health, safety and well-being of the community of Milford Haven will always be at the heart of every event which we organise and despite it being an outdoor event, it’s popularity attracts thousands of people where social distancing is not possible.
“All at Milford Haven Round Table want nothing more than to be putting on big community events whilst raising money for local causes, but we hope you understand the reasons behind this decision.
In the meantime, we are focusing all of our efforts on putting on some amazing events in 2021 and fingers crossed, the Santa Run! Stay safe!”
