has provided a further coronavirus update for Wednesday, 22nd April,
as follows:

‘Over the last few weeks I have been delighted to receive thank you
messages, regarding the way the Authority has been tackling this
pandemic.

‘It is very reassuring that people are listening to the advice and
guidance and that you are finding the information we are providing
useful and informative.

‘The officers are working hard under these testing conditions to
ensure our communities and supported, for which I would like to thank
them all. I’m also aware that my fellow county councillors are also
active in our communities, again a big thank you.

‘I also want to extend my gratitude to you all as “community
Pembrokeshire”; everyone is doing their bit to support each other.
Cllr Michele Bateman, Cabinet member for Housing added: “I wanted
to inform you of the new Housing Facebook Page that was launched
last week.

‘The page is set up for our Housing Tenants and is managed by the
Housing Customer Liaison Team. It will help us engage with some of
our harder to reach tenants, but will not replace traditional methods of
communication. Housing Tenants please visit
https://www.facebook.com/PCCHousing/”

‘As leader I would like to take this opportunity to thank our care
providers, and all their staff, that are working hard in our communities
to support those who are vulnerable or require additional support.
I fully appreciate how difficult your role is under normal
circumstances. Please be assured everyone appreciates what you
are doing. Thank you so much.

‘I have mentioned previously that business are changing the way they
are operating.

‘Every day I hear great stories of local shops doing deliveries, cafés
doing cakes, hot takeaways, plated Sunday lunches and all types
home delivery service. This is keeping your community going and you
should all be proud of what you are doing, while still adhering to the
social distancing and essential travel guidance.

‘Please support each other where you can, stay in touch with family
and friends and look out for one another.
