Driver and two passengers flee from scene of accident in Fishguard

THE DRIVER and two passengers of a vehicle which hit a parked car and rolled onto its side have fled the scene in Fishguard this evening (Oct 2).

Witnesses in West Street heard an almighty crash and came to their front doors to see two male occupants climbing out of the vehicle with minor injuries, and another male occupant half way down the road.

The incident happened at approximately 10.30pm.

Emergency services are at the scene and the road is currently closed off.

A resident of the street told The Pembrokeshire Herald: “The lads in the vehicle looked to me as if they were very drunk.

“Luckily the silver car is a pizza delivery vehicle and was parked up, there was no one in it as the driver had just got out to take food to a house.

“The car flipped and rolled but they all ran.

“Some of the lads looked like they had got some minor cuts in the accident.

“One had a cut on his face, another had cuts on his hands, arms and face.”

“Before they ran off I spoke to them, you could smell the alcohol – they left all the drink in their car and are now somewhere on foot.”
