Fifteen Pembrokeshire projects to share £221,000

PROJECTS across Pembrokeshire are to receive a cash boost after the latest round of funding generated from a premium on second home Council Tax.
Fifteen projects will take a share of £221,000 from the Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant Awards.

The Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant Panel had recommended approval for the 15 projects and this was agreed by members of Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet on Monday (6th July).

The money for the Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant awards comes from a Council Tax premium charged on second homes and empty properties.

Around £1.2m is generated per year.

Councillor Bob Kilmister, the Cabinet Member for Finance, said: “I am extremely proud of how this unique scheme works and the huge benefit it brings to our County.”
