Haverfordwest High pupil taken to hospital after being hit by car

A PUPIL from Haverfordwest High was hospitalised on Wednesday (Feb 6) after being hit by a car on Portfield Avenue.

The girl was hit by the car at approximately 8:55am.

She was transported to Withybush Hospital and discharged later that day, according to Pembrokshire County Council.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at approximately 8:55am this morning (February 6) to an incident on Portfield Avenue, Haverfordwest.

“We responded with an emergency ambulance and one patient was conveyed to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.”

A Pembrokeshire County Council spokespersons added: “The incident happened off school premises in Portfield Avenue, Haverfordwest, before the start of the school day when a female pupil was in contact with a car.

“The pupil was taken to the hospital and checked over.

“I believe she was later discharged.”
