DYFED-POWYS POLICE is investigating a suspicious incident in Haverfordwest this morning (Jan 19) involving two men approaching a young girl.
At approximately 8am, a 9 year old girl was walking to Fenton School along Jury Lane from City Road.
She was approached by two men who pulled over in a black car, and the passenger asked her questions, but there was no attempt to have physical contact with her at any point and she was not harmed.
The child did not engage with them and ran to school, where she then reported it to staff.
A police spokesperson said: “Expeditious and thorough enquiries are being carried out in respect of this suspicious incident and if anyone witnessed it, or anyone has any information, contact police by calling 101.
“We would reassure the public and parents that this is an isolated incident – but the schools community police officer is at the school today and reminding pupils of personal safety lessons, and other schools have been made aware also as a precaution.
