A NARBERTH man today (Jan 24) made his first appearance before a crown court judge in relation to a fatal road crash.
Peter Pritchard, aged 42, currently faces a charge of causing the death of Gareth Llewellyn by dangerous driving.
Pritchard, of Nestors Square, had been listed to enter a plea but the hearing was delayed at the request of barristers both for the prosecution and defence.
Pritchard is said to have entered the on coming carriageway of a dual carriage.
Judge Paul Thomas, sitting at Swansea Crown Court, said the case dated back to 2015 and said: “The delay is not helpful to anyone. It is a tragic situation that has been hanging over everyone’s heads for some time.”
The next hearing will take place on March 9.
Pritchard was granted bail until then.
