Man hospitalised in single vehicle collision

A SINGLE vehicle collision in Herbrandston yesterday (Feb 16) has seen one man hospitalised.

The collision, which occurred at around 1pm on Wednesday, caused a multi-agency clean-up process after spillage and debris caused the closure of the road.

The ambulance service were alerted to the collision at around 1.07pm.

A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson said: “Two emergency ambulances, one rapid vehicle, our emergency medical retrieval and transfer service and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.”

The male occupant of the vehicle was transferred to University Hospital of Wales for treatment.

Police were alerted to the incident at around 1.20pm, where they closed the road leading to Puma Energy.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said that they closed the road due to spillage and debris and alerted the local authority to the spillage.

Police were assisted by the fire brigade to clean up the spillage.

The road re-opened at approximately 2.17pm.
