Marloes: Coastguards rescue dog after cliff fall

HM Coastguard Broad Haven were paged to assist HM Coastguard Dale to rescue a dog that had fallen over a cliff near Marloes. A joint rope rescue operation took place and the canine in question was reunited with its owner safe and well.

The canine rescue too place on Sunday (Aug 30).

Both teams said: “This is a great example of flank teams working together for a positive outcome.”

A member of the rescue team said: “We conducted a technical rope rescue, deploying DLE08 as Rope Rescue Technician. After making his way through 50m of stunted Blackthorn and Gorse our technician secured the dog, Daisy, in our animal rescue bag and safely recovered & reunited her with her owners. Another happy customer.

“Please keep dogs on a lead near cliffs.”
