Milford Haven: Man remanded in custody following Haven Hotel ‘attack’

A MILFORD HAVEN man has been remanded inro custody following a vicious attack at a public house in the town.

Lemmy Best, 27, of Vicary Crescent appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Mar 19) to face six charges.

He confirmed his name and address, but did not indicate any plea.

The court heard that Best is accused of common assault, ABH, two charges of GBH, affray and possession of an offensive weapon (a broom) at The Haven Hotel on Sunday, 17 March.

He was remanded into custody to attend Swansea Crown Court on April 18, at 10am.

A police Twitter account posted on Sunday: “Police have responded to an incident on Sunday night at around 8.15pm, where multiple people received serious injuries. Police were on scene at Hamilton Terrace quickly and the suspect was arrested. The investigation is still ongoing.”

On Tuesday, police confirmed: “Officers in Milford Haven responded to an incident on Sunday 17 March at around 8.15pm in Hamilton Terrace where 5 people were assaulted. 27 year old Lemmy Best from Milford Haven was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with GBH with intent, two counts of ABH, two counts of common assault and affray. He will be appearing in Haverfordwest Magistrates Court this morning (19 March).

“The 5 assaulted people are receiving medical attention for their injuries.”
