Milford Haven: Police confirm missing 21-year-old has died

A FRANTIC  search by police for a local man, ended in tragedy, after the missing 21-year-old from the Milford Haven was confirmed to have died.

Police officers were seen at around 8pm searching in the Milford Haven Marina area, and then at around 8.20pm a convoy of police vehicles were seen driving up Hamilton Terrace at high speed, and then towards the Black Bridge area.

An ambulance was then called to the bridge by officers.

The man has been named locally as Kieran Crimmins – a local aspiring young DJ.

His friends took to Facebook to pay tribute.

Sophie Day said: “I genuinely can’t believe it and am still in shock!! You were such a lovely and genuine person and will be missed by soo many people!! Can’t believe I’m not going to be able to bump into you in town or see you around anymore!! RIP Kieran fly high and party hard up there.”

Ieuan Bevan said: “Gonna miss you Kieran Crimmins. Can’t believe what’s happened, hope you’re playing rugby where ever you are”

Nikki Jenkins said: “I’m just so overwhelmed! Kieran, you will be missed! Go find your peace now fella, you’ve left your mark on the world and on many people. You were a massive part of our wedding and our lives. Sleep tight fella.“

Anthony Duncan posted: “Devastated is an understatement gonna miss you pal” with Macenzie Bowen adding: “Another sad day in Milford. Another good one gone Kieran Crimmins, you’ll be greatly missed.“

A spokesman said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended the Black Bridge area of Milford Haven at approximately 8pm yesterday (March 26), following reports concerning the welfare of a 21-year-old man.

“He was taken to hospital, where sadly it was confirmed he had passed away.

“His next of kin and HM coroner are aware.”

This Friday (Mar 29), an event is being held at the Astoria, dedicated to Kieran. ‘Tectonic – The New Era’ will run from 10pm to 5.30am, and collection boxes will be present to help raise both funds and awareness for local mental health charities.

Famed DJ and record producer Ed Solo will be performing, in his only gig in Wales this month.

The event’s promoter said: “Close friends had asked for it to be dedicated to Kieran, as he was passionate about the genre of music associated with the event, that they felt it would be a fitting way to remember him.”
