​Milford Haven: Police investigate tragic death of teenager [UPDATED]

POLICE are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl from Milford Haven, who died suddenly last night (Feb 7).

It was confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Along with the Welsh Ambulance Service, Dyfed-Powys Police were called to an address in Skomer Drive just after 10pm.

Two ambulances attended the address, along with a team of fire service co-responders, and the girl was taken to Withybush Hospital.

Specialist police officers are currently supporting the young girl’s family and her peers at school.

A spokesperson for Milford Haven School, where the girl attended, said: “Milford Haven School is sad to report the tragic death of a 14-year-old girl from Milford Haven.

“The whole school community has been devastated by this terrible news. Our thoughts and sympathies are very much with the family at this moment.

“We are providing appropriate support and counselling at what is a very difficult time for everyone.”

A spokesperson from Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed Powys police is investigating the sudden death of a 14-year-old girl in the Milford Haven area.

“Police received a report of the incident at 10.08pm on Tuesday, February 7.

“There are no suspicious circumstances. Next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at about 10.05pm on Tuesday 7 February to a private address on Skomer Drive, Milford Haven.

“We sent two crews in emergency ambulances and a team of fire service co-responders to the scene and a female was taken to Withybush General Hospital.”
