Monkton: Air Ambulance and paramedics attend medical emergency

A MEDICAL EMERGENCY in Monkton was dealt with by the crews of two road ambulances and the Welsh Air Ambulance on Tuesday (Jun 4).

A spokesperson from the Welsh Ambulance Service told The Heald: “Were called on Tuesday 4 June at approximately 13:20 to reports of a man requiring medical assistance”.

“We responded with two ambulance and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. One patient was transported by air ambulance to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.”

The press officer for the Wales Air Ambulance said: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance was called to the Monkton area. Our Dafen-based crew were mobile at 13:43 and arrived at 13:59.

“Following treatment at the scene from our on-board consultant and critical care practitioner, we left at 15:56 and flew the patient to Morriston Hospital, arriving at 16:14.

“Our involvement was completed at 17:48.”
