A PEMBROKESHIRE mother accused of causing the death of her toddler will appear in crown court this morning.

Kyle Bevan, 30, of Queens Road, Aberystwyth, has been charged with murder following the tragic death of two-year-old Lola James in Haverfordwest in July 2020.

Lola’s mother, Sinead James, 29, from Neyland, is charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

The pair are due to appear before a judge at Swansea Crown Court from 10am this morning.

The pair appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Friday Morning (Apr 22).

No plea was entered by Bevan to the charge, but a not guilty plea was indicated through defending solicitor Tom Lloyd, the defendant was remanded into custody.

Magistrates remanded James into custody for their own safety, stating they “do not feel bail conditions were sufficient to keep you safe”.

The accused were originally arrested for assault and neglect following the incident, but were released pending further investigations.

The charges were brought forward on Thursday, April 21.

Lola died in Hospital on July 21, 2020, four days after sustaining a severe head injury at her home address in Princess Royal Way, Haverfordwest.
