New set of national rules following ‘fire break’

THE FIRST MINISTER for Wales has confirmed that two households can meet together again after the fire break.

Mark Drakeford, The First Minister of Wales has confirmed today (Oct 2), that the fire break lockdown will end on Monday November 9 as promised.

Mr Drakeford said: “Our Fire Break will end as promised on Monday 9 November.”
A new set of national rules will be introduced from Monday, November 9 at 00.01 across Wales.

  • Bubbles can be re-formed with one other household to meet indoors
  • Organised indoor activities can include up to 15 people
  • Organised outdoor activities can have up to 30 people, providing covid safety measures are undertaken – hand washing, social distancing etc.
  • Restaurants, cafes, pubs and gyms can re-open
  • All non essential travel should be avoided
  • Places of worship are able to re-open
  • Travel within Wales will not be restricted, however travel outside of the Country is not permitted without a valid reason
    Local authorities can resume service, but will differ depending on location
  • Small groups can meet at community centres indoors
