Pembroke Dock: Pensioner pleads guilty to assault on woman

A PENSIONER who attacked a woman in Pembroke Dock has appeared before Llanelli Magistrates to stand trial for assault by beating.

Sixty-nine-year-old Barry Arthur Lake, of Abinger Road, St Helens, previously appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court to face the charge.

Lake did not attend court and entered a not-guilty plea through his defending solicitor Tom Lloyd, magistrates set a trial date for November 30 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard how on April 4, Lake assaulted a woman in Pembroke Dock.

Appearing at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, Lake entered a guilty plea to the charge.

Magistrates imposed a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered him to pay £100 compensation, £620 costs and a £21 victim surcharge.
