Pembroke Dock: Security guards praised for rescuing woman from domestic incident

TWO SECURITY guards have been praised for their quick actions in helping a woman being attacked in a domestic incident in the early hours of the morning.

Jordan Burton was carrying out security duties at Pembroke Dock train station, as colleague Ryan Calvert was attending to do a security officer’s welfare check.

Chad Phillips, a dog handler, was also working security on various sites in the area and was meeting up with the other two guards for a well deserved cup of tea.

Posting on RyCal Security’s Facebook page, Ryan Calvet said : “As our response team was out doing checks and calls they popped in to Pembroke Dock train station for welfare check on the guard. I also met up with Chad Phillips another colleague at the same time.

“Not long after we heard a female in distress shouting and screaming for help while crying, we went down to diamond street to assess whats was going on, as we got closer we witnessed a male beating a woman on the floor outside Bargain Booze.

“We detained the male and kept him on the floor.

“We took the female away as she was injured with facial injuries.

Ryan Calvert said: “I would like to say massive well done to security officer Jordan Burton for dealing with the situation and keeping the female safe while carrying out the medical treatment and dog Handler Chad Phillips for their help. Done amazing.

“Big thank you to Dyfed-Powys Police and Welsh Ambulance Service Trust for their quick response as they was on scene within minutes.

“Stay safe everyone and well done team you did amazing.”
