Pembroke: Man remanded following serious early hours assault

POLICE in Pembrokeshire are appealing for witnesses following two serious assaults which occurred on Main Street, Pembroke Dock between 2am and 3am on Saturday morning (Jan 25).

One male was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Another man received only cuts and bruises, and did not require hospital treatment.

A 31-year-old Aaron Peniket, lately of Main Street, Pembroke, has been arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.

He appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court this morning and has been remanded, due to the serious nature of the alleged offences, to appear at Swansea Crown Court on February 28.

DC Jamie Stephens asked The Herald to put out the following statement: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time specified and may have witnessed the incidents to come forward. While we have arrested someone is it important that we gather as much information as possible.”
