UPDATED Pennar: Fire engine in attendance to house fire

Residential property damaged in morning fire

THERE was a large presence of fire engines in Pennar this morning (May 7)

It is reported that a fire has broken out in a residential property in Castle Street.

Witnesses have told the Herald, large plumes of black smoke can be seen coming from the property, with the back upstairs window blown out.

A spokesman from Mid and West Wales Fire Service said “At 10:43am today, Tuesday 7th May 2019, crews from Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Tenby attended a property fire in Castle Street, Pennar, Pembroke Dock.

“The fire was confined to a rear shed, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom of a two-floor building and extinguished by firefighters using eight breathing apparatus, four hose reel jets, four thermal imaging cameras and a safety jet.

“The stop message was received at 01:23pm

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
