Pennar: Police confirm death of 13-year-old girl in ‘awful tragedy’

THE POLICE have confirmed that a 13-year-old girl died suddenly in Pembroke Dock tonight (Apr 3).

Emergency services were notified just before 7pm of a medical emergency and multiple ambulances, paramedic vehicles, and police rushed to Bentlass Terrace.

The Air Ambulance was also called to the incident – but despite the best efforts of the emergency service the young girl could not be saved.

The HM Coroner will now be informed, and the police have said there is nothing suspicious.

Chief Inspector Andy Pitt said: “This is an awful tragedy and I pass on my sincere sympathy to the family on behalf of Dyfed-Powys Police.”

A spokesman for the police told The Herald: “We’re currently investigating the sudden death of a 13-year-old girl in Pennar, Pembroke Dock.

“Officers responded to an emergency call and arrived at scene at 6.45pm on Wednesday, April 3.

The spokesman added: “Sadly, she was confirmed dead at her home by paramedics.”

Police said that the family is being supported by specially trained officers.
