THE PLAQUE commemorating the birth of Sir Thomas Picton removed from a property in Hill Street, Haverfordwest, last night will be put on display in Haverfordwest Museum next year, it has been revealed.
The owner of the property had said he feared it could be targeted following recent calls to remove all memorials to Sir Thomas Picton’s name.
To clarify after reports on Facebook; the Council have confirmed that they did not take down the plaque, and a nearby council van was just there by coincidence.
