THERE will not be a judicial review for the St Davids Glasfryn Road development which will see a Premier Inn hotel built in the city.

The plans were approved in June 2018 despite a number of objections and it had been suggested that a judicial review would be submitted.

However, it was revealed at last week’s (Mar 6) Pembrokeshire Coast National Park’s Development Management Committee that such a review would not be forthcoming.

It leaves the road clear for the project to go ahead.

Back in 2018, the Committee met at a packed Ty’r Pererin Hall on Quickwell Hill in St Davids and members of the YoPI (Yes to Premier Inn) and NoPI (No to Premier Inn) campaigns were also in attendance and gave their views to the committee.

38 affordable homes will also be built as part of the project and the City’s Councillor, David Lloyd, said it was ‘imperative’ that these homes should be built.

At that meeting, members raised a number of concerns about the nature of the hotel and the quality of the application but were unanimous in giving their support.
