THE REALLY WILD FESTIVAL, which was set to return to St Davids following a three year absence, has been cancelled amid financial fears.
The festival would have been located in and around Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre, where the event originated in 2004. The event would have been free to enter this year.
On Wednesday (Apr 3), Oriel y Parc released this statement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival scheduled for 25 & 26 May 2019 has been postponed, with a plan to run this event during 2020.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience and all stall fees will be refunded as soon as possible.”
The Really Wild Festival was founded in 2004, to provide a market place for local food and drink producers and traditional craftsmen in west Wales. It offers an opportunity for producers and growers to showcase their products to businesses and visitors and most importantly, encourage more tourists into Pembrokeshire. The festival was being run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, through Oriel y Parc.
Booking for stalls had closed on April 1, but the event failed to get enough stall holders to make it financially viable.
